Last Quarter of the Moon Publishing

We are so proud of our inaugural line up of works and authors. We kicked off our first publication earlier this summer with the release of the Young Adult Fantasy novel, Return of the Dragon Knights, the debut by teen author, Alex D.K. Courter. The staff at Last Quarter of the Moon would like to join the author in thanking the fans who made his first book such a success.

And that was just the beginning. The summer swelter kept us indoors, and that meant more time behind the keyboard! We have three novels and two short stories slated for publication heading into the Fall. Each book expands the variety and depth of our body of work. Whether you are into fantasy, suspense, horror, comedy, or a feel good novel, we have a veritable cornucopia in the works for your reading pleasure.

Debut: Alex Courter's Fantasy, Return of the Dragon Knights

Once a disciple of the dark arts and lore, the decrepit Shadow King thrives with an insatiable lust for power. Enticing liege and lord, he is determined to corrupt the entire world if only in order to make himself all the stronger; he spreads darkness across the land, raising hordes of the dead to do his bidding and subvert the residents of Entraydia.

Enter Maxwell. Born to parents of lowly status, the arrival of the Shadow King at his nativity is unexpected and unwelcome: for the Shadow King has come for the boy, for he is the one foretold to defeat the darkness once and for all. The Shadow King is not, however, the only unexpected visitor. The Dragon Knights return once again with their stones of magic to save the infant and his family. And that is only the beginning.

Sasha Raught's Tempting Fate

Who said that you can't tell a book by its cover? They haven't seen what we have in store. Two novels released and both books sport custom cover artwork by the incomparable painter and illustrator, Sasha Raught.

An accomplished novelist in his own right, we are thrilled to announce the addition of Sasha Raught to our growing list of authors with the upcoming release of his debut novel early next month. Tempting Fate Can Be Dangerous is the conclusion that a young and beautiful Private Detective figures out when she accepts a job investigating strange disappearances in Leisure Village.
